Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are engaged after more than a year of dating, a source exclusively tells In Touch.
The engagement comes after In Touch exclusively reported in August that Sweeney had moved into Braun’s $65 million Los Angeles home. A source revealed at the time that the Euphoria alum, 29, moved in “super fast” — within a month of the couple dating.
Though it’s likely Sweeney and the 45-year-old are celebrating, a separate insider tells In Touch that not everyone in the couple’s inner circle is convinced they’re headed for a happily ever after.
“It’s a match made in disaster,” the insider says. “There are red flags and people think it will end in tears.”
One major concern centers around Braun’s alleged financial involvement in some of Sweeney’s business partnerships, which the insider claims the Housemaid star doesn’t fully know about.
“Scooter hasn’t disclosed investments to Sydney,” the insider shares. “Sydney has no idea the extent in which the money being paid to her from these partnerships is actually coming through a backdoor from Scooter.”
According to the insider, the talent manager — who has worked with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato — has “vested interests” in Novig, a sports prediction trading app, and Syrn, Sweeney’s lingerie brand.
In Touch previously reported in August that Syrn, which Sweeney just launched at the beginning of the year, was struggling with sales.
“It’s been a disaster,” a source told In Touch at the time. “They thought it would be a sellout based on Sydney’s brand but clearly her saleability is waning rapidly.”
The source added that meetings had been held to discuss ways to increase sales for the brand.

The current insider, meanwhile, claims that Braun’s been “pulling strings behind the scenes without her knowing. He’s maneuvering everything that will ultimately enrich him.”
The insider alleges Braun even attempted to arrange for Sweeney to sit next to a top Novig executive at the U.S. Open in an effort to generate publicity for the company.
“He went behind her back and tried to set up a photo opportunity for her that would ultimately make more headlines for Novig, which he would benefit from,” the insider tells In Touch. “But when the tickets didn’t come to fruition and someone called Sydney to tell her as much, she had absolutely no idea what the tickets were.”
The insider also adds that there’s an imbalance in the couple’s feelings for one another.
“On the other hand, people close to Sydney say he’s more into her than she is into him, but that the relationship is feeding their egos, so it works for them, for now,” the insider explains.
Star broke the news in August 2025 that Sweeney and Braun were dating after they were spotted together in Italy after attending the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez two months prior.

The couple went Instagram official in April when the Anyone But You actress shared a black-and-white photo of the couple to her Instagram Story. Braun reposted the photo to his own Instagram Story.
Sweeney later gushed over the former music executive while celebrating his birthday in June.
“Happiest of birthdays to the man with the biggest heart I know,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself kissing Braun on the cheek.
She followed the tribute with another photo of the pair dancing, and she wrote, “..thank you for all the living room dances and making me smile again. A good man is rare. A man like you is once in a lifetime.”
Sweeney was previously engaged to Jonathan Davino before their 2025 split, while Braun was previously married to Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children: Jagger, 11, Levi, 9, and Hart, 7.
