Cavill’s IMDb page (archived here) does not list him as slated to appear in an upcoming James Bond movie, which had not been updated to reflect any such announcement as of publication time.
The last James Bond movie was the 2021 “No Time to Die” with Daniel Craig.
News of Cavill as the next James Bond would be widely reported. Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and did not find any credible reports of the announcement.
