If you’re looking for a good children’s hospital, New Jersey is home to three of the nation’s best, according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual list of the best pediatric medical facilities in the United States.

Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune were paired together and rank No. 1 in New Jersey.

The facilities are nationally ranked in five children’s specialties: behavioral health, diabetes and endocrinology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, and urology.

Additionally, the medical centers are ranked among the top 10 for pediatric care in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Ranked No. 2 in the state is Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

The teaching hospital is nationally ranked in pediatric urology.

For the latest rankings, U.S. News evaluated 118 children’s hospitals in at least one specialty, and 86 were ranked in one or more pediatric specialties.

The rankings aim to help families find excellent pediatric care close to home.
