(KVOA) – Popular weight loss medications are now available on store shelves at retailers Costco and Sam’s Club.
Ozempic and Wegovy are known for their appetite-suppressing qualities, helping people to eat less and, in most cases, lose weight.
Costco is offering the drugs at a price of $499 for four injectable pens, a month’s supply, which is about half the price when paying out-of-pocket. Customers with a Costco Executive Membership or Chase Citibank credit card will get an additional cash back reward through those programs.
Meanwhile, Sam’s Club shoppers can get a month’s supply of Ozempic or Wegovy for $499 through the use of Novo Nordisk co-pay cards, the chain announced this week. Additionally, members can get same-day delivery of the medications for $12. Same-day delivery is free for Sam’s Club Plus Members when ordered by 2 p.m.
You do still need a prescription from your doctor to purchase the medications.
