King Charles is said to be feeling “very let down” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In October 2026, sources told Woman’s Day that Charles was hoping to spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after they moved to the UK. However, he has yet to see them since they touched down in England.

“Charles absolutely loves being a grandfather, he may not have always been the best father but he’s really taken to his role as a grandad so he’s pretty gutted he hasn’t even seen Archie and Lili more since they landed in the UK,” one insider told the outlet.
They added that Charles was “expecting that they’d be getting straight into making up for lost time,” but unfortunately, it’s been “quite the opposite.”
“Harry keeps promising him that the visit will happen very soon but so far there’s been no date set and Charles is feeling very let down,” the source said.
Reportedly, it seems a meeting is happening soon. In an October 5 report, royal commentator Rob Shuter claimed that Harry and Charles will reunite sometime before Christmas. Insiders told Shuter that Queen Camilla and Meghan Markle will also attend, and Archie and Lilibet will likely be there too.
Additional sources indicated that time has already been blocked out for the highly anticipated gathering, though the specific date and location remain undisclosed.
“This is not a casual ‘let’s get together sometime,'” a royal insider told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice. “Nobody drops in on the King. If Harry and Meghan are in Charles’s diary, it is because he wants them there. This is deliberate.”
Another insider suggested that Harry, Charles, Meghan, and Camilla “are determined to keep the fragile reconciliation moving forward.”
“The important thing is that there will be another meeting,” they explained. “Charles is making room for his son again, and Harry knows how significant that is.”
