Zenith’s servers will close permanently on December 18, 2026, making the online VR game inaccessible. Developer Ramen VR says it has no offline version or community-hosted server option planned at this time.

The shutdown is scheduled for 10am Pacific Standard Time, or 6pm UTC. Existing players can keep playing until then, but the studio is already winding down sales and access for newcomers.
Three separate deadlines govern purchases, downloads and the final shutdown
According to Ramen VR’s announcement, new sales of The Last City paid DLC and Zennies premium currency are ending from October 21 across all platforms.

New players can obtain the free Zenith: Nexus client through November 18. After that date, new-user downloads will no longer be available. People who already have access can continue until the servers shut down a month later.
Any Zennies already held can still be spent inside the game before closure. Spending them does not extend access beyond December 18: the live service itself will stop working at that point.

The closure follows more than two years without ongoing development
Ramen VR announced its decision to stop new content development in July 2024, with the last content work ending that August. Active player support ended in September 2024, although the team says it will offer help where it can until shutdown.
The studio attributes the closure to the cost of maintaining the servers at a loss. It had previously identified player retention and operating costs as problems when it ended development of Zenith.
Zenith: Nexus contains two experiences: the free Infinite Realms mode and The Last City MMO, offered as paid DLC. The closure removes access to the live game rather than merely stopping future expansions. For returning players hoping to revisit its world with friends, December 18 is the final date currently provided by the developer.
