L’Chaim Farm in Dania Beach, FL is facing a foreclosure lawsuit, bringing a financial dispute to the South Florida property that houses Lasso Kosher Grill and a family farm with horseback riding and a petting zoo.

Community Credit Union of Florida filed the case against L’Chaim Farm, LLC and other defendants on October 15, 2026. The lender’s complaint seeks to foreclose a mortgage tied to a loan with an original principal amount of $3.9 million. Broward County’s public court index lists the case as active.

A Foreclosure Case, Not a Closure Announcement

The complaint alleges an outstanding principal balance of $3,915,021.07, plus interest and other charges. It alleges missed payments beginning June 3, 2026. Those are the lender’s claims in an active case. A foreclosure filing does not itself establish that the farm has closed or that the property has been seized. The Business Journal describes the property involved in its report as 5.6 acres.

L’Chaim Farm’s website continues to promote its farm activities and its partnership with Lasso Kosher Grill. The restaurant’s website also continues to list dining hours and welcome walk-ins.

The Farm and Lasso Kosher Grill

The farm offers riding lessons, horse boarding, pony rides and a petting zoo. It also advertises camps, school field trips and private events, including birthday parties and weddings. Founder Adam Hendry developed the farm as a family-oriented agricultural space in Dania Beach.

Its dining partner, Lasso Kosher Grill, serves Argentinian-style asado with wood-grilled meats and outdoor dining. Seasonal produce grown on the farm is used in the restaurant’s food when available. Lasso also offers catering at the farm and off-site.

Earlier this year, a community petition asked Dania Beach officials to support the farm’s continued operations, including its petting zoo and event activities. That February petition concerns support from the city, a separate matter from the foreclosure case filed in October.
