The scheme is a collaboration between Living Well and Keighley Healthy Living to increase the availability of Better For You choices.
The project has already launched at Darley Street Market, Keighley Market, and several independent food outlets.
Bridget La Fauci, programme manager at Keighley Healthy Living, said: “This project is a great way of helping businesses offer more Better For You choices for customers.
“We understand that busy lifestyles mean that food from cafés and takeaways is often part of everyday life.
“By taking part in the programme, vendors can continue serving the great food they always have while making a few simple amendments or additions to their menu that give customers more choice.”
Participating businesses receive free support from a qualified nutritionist, a professional photography package, and promotional opportunities.
Councillor Jayne Morgan, portfolio holder for healthy people, said: “This project is about working with our local takeaway businesses on how they can make small changes which give people a wider range of options which include healthier choices.
“It’s good for their business and it’s great for their customers.”
Interested businesses can sign up through the Living Well Takeaways website.
