WASHINGTON (TNND) — A progressive student attacked pro-Trump influencer Liz Benichou during a free speech event at the University of Michigan.

During the event, the student, who was dressed in black leggings and a T-shirt, got into a spat about Islam with Benichou.

“If you walked around like this in Iran, what would happen to her?” Benichou asked.

The student ended up dropping her phone and shoved Benichou to the ground and yelled, “Don’t f*cking talk to me like that!”

A young man came over and pulled the student off of her. Benichou confirmed on X that the young man was the attacker’s boyfriend.

Eventually a cop came, got the student on the ground and arrested her.

“I’m okay,” she wrote on X. “This is what happens when you[re] dealing with leftist radicals. THE LEFT IS MORE VIOLENT THAN THE RIGHT!”

Benichou’s manager told the Mediate news outlet that she had her lower back injured after she was thrown to the ground.

“The lady was crashing out and kept going at Liz,” he told the outlet.

He said that she plans to press charges against the student.

The attack comes days after four activists were charged for involvement in a criminal intimidation campaign against the university where they demanded they cut financial ties with Israel.

Just five months ago, eight pro-Palestinian activists were charged with vandalism at officials’ homes, the Jewish Federation of Detroit and local businesses, according to the Associated Press.
