During the annual India Mobile Congress this year, Oppo and MediaTek announced that the Find X9 series will be the first smartphone lineup to feature MediaTek’s latest and greatest Dimensity 9500 SoC, which was announced in late September. That bit isn’t particularly new information, though.

Oppo Find X9 series to be announced globally in November

The interesting bit about the announcement is that the Find X9 series will be coming to India next month. Oppo already set an announcement date in China for October 16, but now we know the phone will come to India sometime in November. That would suggest a global premiere might be held at some point between those two.

The chipset promises a significant leap in performance and efficiency. It’s based on the third-generation All-Big-Core architecture with the main core clocked at 4.21 GHz. The company promises a 17% jump in CPU performance while peak power consumption is reduced by 55% compared to the previous generation. The new ARM G1-Ultra GPU is said to deliver 33% higher performance while requiring 42% less power.

Oppo said that the powerful chipsets will feel cool and comfortable in the new Find X9 series as all phones will feature a customized cooling solution to maintain high performance during long workloads.
