EJAE, the composer and vocalist of the globally popular song “Golden” from the Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” is set for a highly anticipated return to Korea this week, where she will share her stories behind the internationally successful movie and her new song.

The Korean American artist, currently based in the United States, is scheduled to arrive in Korea this week and will meet with local media for a press conference on Wednesday.

During this visit, EJAE is also set to appear on the popular tvN talk show “You Quiz on the Block.” Adding to the excitement, EJAE will release her solo debut single “In Another World” on Oct. 24.

On the talk show, she is expected to share stories about her involvement in the soundtrack production for “KPop Demon Hunters” and the recent live performance of “Golden” on a U.S. talk show.

EJAE, a former trainee at SM Entertainment, a major Korean entertainment agency, shifted to working as a composer after studying abroad in the U.S.

Her career has recently taken a new turn, propelled by the global success of “KPop Demon Hunters” and “Golden,” which she composed and performed as the voice of Rumi, the main character.

Released in June, “KPop Demon Hunters” is an animated film about a K-pop girl group called Huntrix, who lead double lives as demon hunters. “Golden” is enjoying worldwide popularity, having spent a total of eight weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

“I’m so humbled and grateful for the love I’ve received as a songwriter and the singing voice of Rumi from ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’” EJAE said on her social media, Oct. 5.

She also revealed her plans for upcoming activities.

“I wrote some songs that never found the right home. I’ve decided I want my artist project to give life to those songs, so people can laugh, dance, or cry with me and the amazing collaborators who helped create them,” EJAE wrote.

She introduced her debut single, “In Another World,” as a song she wrote while overcoming a difficult time, which became a great source of comfort to her.

“There’s one song that feels like the perfect place to start. Writing this song helped me through a hard time, and I hope that sharing it can help others, too. It’s called ‘In Another World’ and is releasing on 10/24/25,” she wrote.
