As you’re probably well aware and been spiraling over for the last 24 hours, Taylor Swift just announced that she has a six-part docuseries dropping on Disney+ which will chronicle her time on The Eras Tour. And if you’re wondering how much the House of Mouse is forking over for the exclusive streaming rights, we have some intel.

While there are rumors about exactly how much Disney paid secure the global rights to both Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era and The Final Show (a full concert film of the final Vancouver stop of the Eras Tour), nothing’s been confirmed. However, we do know that—per Deadline—the company paid $30 million back in 2022 for the doc Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances And the Years That Made His Legend. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Disney expected to spend “$24 billion in content in its fiscal 2025.” So their budget is enormous to say the least!

Taylor shared news of her docuseries and concert film on Instagram (both premiere on December 12, FYI!), saying, “It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety. The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus.”
