He sold 30 million shares at $8.35 per share (which was a discount of 9.7 per cent to the previous close), realising gains of $250 million. He’d tapped Barrenjoey to do it as a block trade. This was an ignominious end for The Colonel after an ugly boardroom bust-up with his ex-wife Fiona Brown, who runs the company.
