Kevin Federline waged a serious accusation against his ex-wife, Britney Spears.
On Thursday, October 16, Us Weekly published an excerpt from the 47-year-old former backup dancer’s upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, in which he claimed that he caught the princess of pop, 43, doing cocaine with an “actress who was about to blow up from a role that would transform her life,” at his 2006 release party for his album, Playing With Fire.
“The first thing I saw was Britney and her young starlet friend snorting a fat line of coke off the table,” Federline recounted. “Both were wearing these outrageous wigs. Britney’s was electric blue. It was surreal. They didn’t even try to hide it.”
Federline noted he was “stunned” the Grammy winner would do drugs, considering she was still breastfeeding their sons, Sean Preston, who was 13 months old at the time, and Jayden Jaymes, who was only one month old.

After witnessing Spears’ actions, Federline claimed he begged her, “Please don’t go home and breast-feed the kids like this. Call your mom or someone. We need to get formula. You can’t do this.”
However, Federline’s pleas seemingly did not land well with the “Toxic” singer, as he told readers that she allegedly threw a drink in his face in front of everyone according to Us Weekly.
“That was the proverbial final straw, the breast-feeding thing. Her reaction,” he wrote. “That’s what ended us.”
Federline shared that he immediately had his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, send Spears a legal letter telling her to stop breast-feeding the kids and that the “Circus” singer subsequently had her attorney, Laura Wasser, draft divorce papers.

“It all happened so fast,” Federline, who finalized his divorce from Spears in 2007, admitted. “I couldn’t even catch my breath.”
Spears took to social media on Thursday, writing, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” and stating, Federline’s “white lies” from his book “are going straight to the bank.”
Additionally, a representative for Spears shared a statement with People on Tuesday, October 14, regarding Federline’s memoir.
“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the statement read. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”
