Justice Minister Yariv Levin addressed the Supreme Court’s decision to accept the Association for Civil Rights petition regarding the Israel Prison Service’s food policy for security prisoners, including Hamas attackers from October 7, saying: “We have already become accustomed to Supreme Court judges not being satisfied with their judicial role and taking over state management. It turns out that even this is not enough, and from now on they have also crowned themselves as judges in ‘MasterChef’.” According to him, “Supreme Court judges, or in their new title – the Supreme Dietitians, have found a recipe for distorted morality that has no equal in the world. This is what happens when judges are appointed in a closed club. That is why I insisted on changing the composition of the Judicial Selection Committee.”
