Ice Spice opened up about a dream she has that seems a bit too far out of reach.
In a cover story with NYLON magazine published on Wednesday, Sept. 10, the “Bikini Bottom” rapper revealed that she’d ideally want to retire early.
“I mean, my dream is to be retired by 35, but is that even realistic?” Ice Spice, 25, told the publication.
She added, “Probably not. I’m American. We work until we die.”

Elsewhere in the story, Ice Spice opened up about her financial responsibility. She’s even able to take care of her family and live where she chooses.
“People that aren’t good at saving scare me!” she said.
Still, Ice Spice enjoys “luxurious things too, which is nice that fame sometimes unlocks cool stuff,” but she sticks to “simple s—.”
The “Barbie World” performer noted that she hadn’t “invested into any bonds,” but is “getting into that now.”
“I feel like I’m a little behind because of that,” added Ice Spice.
Ultimately, though, the “Princess Diana” hitmaker is confident in her finances.

On Sept. 4, the “Barbie World” musician squashed her long-rumored beef with Latto when the two rappers teamed up for their collaboration “Gyatt.”
The track’s lyrics appeared to show the pair making up after fans speculated they’ve had been at odds since 2023.
As Ice Spice worked closely with Nicki Minaj in 2023 and Latto, 26, collaborated with Cardi B, who’s previously been beefing with the “Super Bass” rapper, the tension seemed to rise.
According to Complex, Ice Spice and Latto seemingly took subtle jabs at one another on social media around the time.
When Latto and Offset released their collaboration “Fine as Can Be” — which featured a verse from Latto seeming to reference Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U)” — in October 2023, the beef seemed to growing.
Ice Spice then appeared to diss Latto on “Think U the S— (Fart)” with a reference to the “Lottery” rapper’s Cardi, 32, team-up “Put It on da Floor Again” in January 2024.
However, in a July 2024 Rolling Stone interview, the “In Ha Mood” artist shut down Latto feud rumors.
“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare,” said Ice Spice. “It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”
