Soybeans pushed higher for a second session, hitting their highest in 15 months, ahead of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Thursday to finalize a wide-ranging trade deal.

Futures in Chicago climbed toward $11 a bushel after advancing 2.3% on Monday, the most in more than two months. That came after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he expected the Asian nation to make “substantial” soybean purchases after American and Chinese negotiators came to terms on a range of contentious points at talks over the weekend.
