Tripwire Interactive, the developer and publisher for Killing Floor 3, announced the first free content update for the game. In it, one of the most requested features by the community — the ability to play any specialist as any perk — makes it in!

As this took additional development and animation resources, it took a moment for the team to get it done. This will continue to be implemented in all future specialists and perks!

Another new feature players can look forward to in this free content update is the post-launch weapons and weapon mods. These three new additions are based on real-life guns: M14 EBR, MKR-350 Assault Rifle, and the Streik Dual Defender Shotgun.

This is just the beginning of the changes that players can expect! Tripwire Entertainment has also retroactively worked on the older weapons, buffing most of them, with only a few that were overperforming being nerfed.

Bosses and Zeds have also been adjusted a bit so that their attacks can be dodged more easily, and some boss-specific attacks have been tweaked to stop them from comboing players into instantaneous death.

Last but not least, new physics elements have been added, allowing players to knock down, stun, or even downright kill Zeds by bumping into them. This can only happen when the foe isn’t attacking anyone!

Make sure to watch the video for a closer look at everything. Killing Floor 3 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. At the time of writing, the game is at a 20% discount to celebrate Halloween (across all platforms)!
