The IDF has begun work to expand ‘Crossing 147’ to increase the volume of aid entering the humanitarian area in the Gaza Strip, as part of the plan to move the population southward from Gaza City, and as part of efforts to adapt the humanitarian response in the southern Gaza Strip. This was reported by the IDF spokesperson, who added that accordingly, in recent days IDF forces have been working to prepare and adapt the area, including paving new roads and expanding the goods platform. After completion of the work, the truck reception capacity at the crossing will increase to 150 trucks per day – three times the current situation, thereby allowing increased entry of aid, with emphasis on food, to the humanitarian area.
