PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Georgia soccer team’s journey in the 2025 SEC Tournament ended Thursday evening with a 2-0 loss to No. 8 Vanderbilt before 1,353 spectators at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.

Vanderbilt (15-3-1) outshot Georgia (10-4-6), 14-7, including a 7-1 advantage in shots on frame. The Bulldogs’ lone shot on goal came in the 84th minute as senior defender Cate Hardin’s shot was saved by Commodore goalkeeper Sara Wojdelko.
Vanderbilt struck first in the 15th minute as Sydney Watts scored in the bottom left of the goal off an assist from Olivia Stafford. Watts later earned a brace with a 68th-minute goal set by the service from Maci Teater.
Georgia’s best scoring opportunity came in the 61st minute as graduate defender BK Harris found herself with an empty net, but her strike hit the left post.
Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Folliard tallied five saves for the second-consecutive match.
