George Clooney would get in The Pitt and try to love someone. If asked. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Clooney said he’d reunite with former ER bestie Noah Wyle “in a heartbeat.” At the red carpet for Jay Kelly, Clooney said he’s deeply proud of his former partner-in-scrubs. “I am deeply proud of him, if I’m allowed to be proud of him,” he said, “because of what a beautiful show it is, and what a great success it has been, and what a fun thing to have him continuing on in a tradition.” Clooney said he hasn’t actually broached the topic of guesting on The Pitt with Wyle because “it’s his show, and I don’t want to interrupt.”

Of course, if Clooney were to guest star on The Pitt, it would only strengthen the “This show is ER” allegations that are still running through the LA County Courts at the moment. Michael Crichton’s widow Sherri filed a lawsuit in August 2024 alleging that The Pitt is merely a rebrand of ER “without any attribution or compensation for Crichton and his heirs.” She alleges that the OG ER team tried to do a reboot, only for Warner Bros. To break off negotiations and green light The Pitt. A judge upheld the suit in February of this year. Wyle has said he’s “disappointed” by the ongoing litigation. “This taints the legacy, and it shouldn’t have,” he said in April. “At one point, this could have been a partnership. And when it wasn’t a partnership, it didn’t need to turn acrimonious. But on the 30th anniversary of ER, I’ve never felt less celebratory of that achievement than I do this year.”
