Io9 2025 Spoiler

Scary Movie 6

Deadline reports Chris Elliot, Cheri Oteri, Heidi Gardner, Kim Wayans, and Damon Wayans, Jr. have joined the cast of Scary Movie 6 in undisclosed roles—including Elliot and Oteri, as it’s currently unclear if they’re reprising their roles as either Hanson or Ezekiel from Scary Movie 2 and 4, or Gail Hailstorm from the original Scary Movie, respectively.

Clown 2-7

During a recent interview with Variety, Spider-Man franchise director Jon Watts revealed he’d like to direct at least seven sequels to his 2014 horror film, Clown, citing both Evil Dead 2 and the Leprechaun franchise as inspirations.

I still see a lot of potential in the premise, so when I watch it now, I’m like, ‘Oh, we could have done so much more there.’ I’d love for it to be like Evil Dead 2. I’d love to tell the same story, but jump off to even crazier places.

We’d want to do seven of them, make it a real long-term franchise like the Leprechaun or something like that. There are a lot of facets to the story that we’re still interested in telling, because it’s great. It’s kind of an evergreen premise where anyone can put on the suit.

Mr. Yummy

Deadline now states a film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story, Mr. Yummy, is now in development at Intrinsic Value Films. The story concerns elderly friends convinced death is coming for them in the form of hot, young people from their past they saw exactly once and regret never having sex with.
