Certain exercise equipment has been recalled in Canada, with officials advising consumers to “immediately stop using” it.

Health Canada said in a notice that certain rowing machines are affected.

“The screen console can overheat and ignite, posing a fire hazard,” the notice said.

“As of Nov. 5, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received eight reported incidents, two reports of fire and six reports of smoking or melting. No injuries have been reported.”

Health Canada said the affected products are the NordicTrack Rowing Machines with the following model numbers: NTRW19147.0, NTRW19147.1, NTRW19147.2 or NTRW19147.3.

The model number is on a decal that’s attached to the rower base, officials said.

The machines are black, grey and white. “NordicTrack” is printed on the front legs of the machine and the back legs have “RW900” printed on them.

There were 700 of the machines sold in Canada from November 2018 to April 2022.

“Consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled rowing machines,” Health Canada said.

“Consumers should contact iFIT to arrange for a free home repair by an authorized technician in the form of a replacement screen console.”

The company can be reached by phone at 833-680-4348, by email at [email protected], or online.
