Ultra-slim smartphones are becoming increasingly popular, but thinner designs often come with compromises, such as smaller batteries and reduced durability. With its latest release, Infinix is taking a different approach, promising a sleek profile without giving up performance or practicality.

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is the brand’s latest slim phone offering, measuring just 5.95mm. It’s officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the “world’s thinnest 3D curved display smartphone.” It’s both slim and curved, which sets it apart from most ultra-thin competitors. True to its slogan “Thin, yet everything,” the HOT 60 Pro+ aims to prove that a phone can be impossibly slim without compromising on battery power, durability, or essential features.

Coming in at just 5.95mm, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is the world’s thinnest phone with a curved display. Despite its slim design, it doesn’t compromise on essentials, like battery life or durability.

Slim and lightweight design has become a trend in smartphone aesthetics. To younger users, design is identity. The way a phone looks and feels matters as much as what it can do. They want devices that look sharp, feel effortless to carry, and slide easily into a pocket, yet still deliver real-world essentials: long battery life, solid cameras, immersive audio, and day-long endurance. For too long, “slim” meant sacrifice. Smaller batteries, weaker thermal performance, or even missing SIM slots became the price of elegance.

That’s the expectation Infinix set out to defy. With the HOT 60 Pro+, it has built not just another thin phone, but a symbol of balance—where record-breaking design meets a complete, uncompromising experience.

For those who don’t know, Infinix has built a solid reputation for delivering flagship-level specs at modest prices. Earlier this year, the company launched the GT 30 and GT 30 Pro gaming phones, proving it could compete on performance. With the HOT 60 Pro+, Infinix is now pushing the boundaries of what a truly well-engineered slim phone can achieve.

Engineering the impossible: Thinness without compromise

You might expect that a thinner body comes with compromises, as has often been the case with other slim phones, but the HOT 60 Pro+ proves otherwise. It actually features a larger battery than its predecessor while remaining slimmer. Specifically, it has a 5160mAh battery with 45W fast charging, which can take the phone from 1% to 50% in just 23 minutes.

How did Infinix pull this off? The company credits a combination of an optimized internal structure, a new ultra-thin fiberglass back panel, and customized core components. The entire internal layout was reworked, with more than 1,100 components rearranged in a flatter configuration to reduce vertical stacking, a design Infinix calls Maximized Structured Space. This new internal architecture not only frees up space but also reinforces the frame, ensuring that thinness doesn’t come at the cost of strength or durability.

Lightweight materials also play a key role. The ultra-thin 3D fiberglass back panel is a first in the industry at 0.36mm, 20% slimmer than standard 0.45mm panels. It’s not just lighter but also stronger, offering a smooth, metal-like finish with improved resistance to bending and surface wear. Inside, Infinix introduced a custom ultra-thin, non-silicon battery designed at an energy density of 810 Wh/L. At just 4.04mm thick—0.36mm slimmer than the previous generation—it stores 8% more energy while maintaining full 5160mAh capacity with 45W fast charging. For users, that means a device thinner than a pencil that still powers through a full day with confidence.

Overheating is one area where slim phones usually struggle, but Infinix seems to have thought ahead. The HOT 60 Pro+ features the Advanced Cooling System 2.0 with an upgraded 11-layer structure. It combines a newly added ultra-thin VC vapor chamber that’s only 0.33 mm thick, along with a high-conductivity graphite layer to keep temperatures stable, even during long gaming or streaming sessions. The SoC temperature drops by up to 5°C, so users stay in the game without heat slowing them down. To ensure long-term durability, the mid-frame has also been reinforced to resist daily wear and deformation.

Beyond the battery and structure, millimeter-level refinements were made across the board. The dual speakers were redesigned, the Type-C port re-engineered, and the SIM tray streamlined. Yet none of the essentials were sacrificed. Unlike many ultra-slim phones that remove physical slots, the HOT 60 Pro+ retains true dual SIM support, a feature highly valued by frequent travelers and multi-line users.

To complete the redesign, Infinix re-engineered the entire internal structure and materials, customizing key components like the motherboard, battery cover, and speakers. The result is a remarkably slim 5.95mm body, which is 12.5% thinner and 4.3% lighter than the previous generation, while still retaining an all-day battery, dual speakers, and dual SIM support.

Display and performance that go beyond thin

While the slim design is the headline, the HOT 60 Pro+ packs a 1.5K hardware-level AMOLED display with a silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, perfect for binge-watching your favorite shows or scrolling through TikTok with zero lag and ultra-clear visuals. It now hits an impressive 4,500 nits of peak brightness, so visibility isn’t an issue, even under harsh sunlight. The panel also includes AI-powered eye care features that automatically adjust brightness and color temperature for comfortable viewing when gaming or scrolling late at night.

Under the hood is MediaTek’s brand-new Helio G200, making its debut with the HOT 60 Pro+. The chip promises a solid jump in efficiency and graphics performance. Paired with Infinix’s Esport Pro Engine and an upgraded vapor chamber cooling system, the phone should deliver consistent frame rates and a snappier experience overall. It even includes a built-in gyro for motion-based controls, giving gamers a bit more precision.

Stronger by design

Most recent ultra-thin phones have proven surprisingly durable, and the HOT 60 Pro+ is no different. Its combination of an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i protecting the display, and a fiberglass back panel gives it a strong, well-balanced structure. It resists scratches and bends, and handles accidental drops of up to 1.5 meters without a case.

The HOT 60 Pro+ also carries an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, meaning it can handle light rain or splashes without issue. Despite its reinforced build, the phone still looks sleek and refined, especially with its vibrant color options and smoothly curved design.

The HOT 60 Pro+ runs on XOS 15, Infinix’s latest Android-based skin that introduces a refined interface, always-on display, and a refreshed wallpaper collection. Infinix also promises three major Android upgrades and five years of security patches, a surprisingly strong commitment for a midrange device.

Google Gemini is built in, but Infinix also includes Folax, its own voice assistant, for cross-app AI interactions. You’ll also find NFC Touch Transfer for fast pairing and file sharing, UltraLink Free Call for Bluetooth-based calls that don’t rely on mobile networks, JBL-tuned dual speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Photography is handled by a 50MP SONY IMX882 main sensor that delivers impressive results, especially in good lighting. With AI RAW enhancement and 2x lossless zoom, you can capture sharper, more natural-looking shots with plenty of detail. On the software side, features like AI Vogue Portraits, AI Eraser, and AI Extender enhance creativity, while AI Call Translation and Recording Summary make everyday tasks a little easier.

A new era for slim phones

The HOT 60 Pro+ lives up to its slogan, “Thin, yet everything.” Despite its ultra-slim form, it doesn’t force users to compromise. You still get a large battery for all-day use, powerful dual speakers, dual SIM support, and a surprisingly durable build.

Starting at around $150, the HOT 60 Pro+ undercuts most of its competition while packing serious design and performance chops. For more information on Infinix and the HOT 60 Pro+, visit Infinix’s website.
