Millie Bobby Brown is dishing on her still-secret Italian wedding to Jake Bongiovi.
The “Stranger Things” star appeared on the Nov. 26 episode of the Dish food podcast to eat penna alla vodka (her first date meal) and talk about the private May 2024 Italian nuptials with Bongiovi, 23, the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
During the podcast appearance with hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, Brown revealed that British singer-songwriter Raye sang all Frank Sinatra songs at the reception, including during the daddy-daughter dance between Brown and her father, Robert Brown.
“It was amazing, so epic,” said Brown.
The “Enola Holmes” star also revealed that she and Bongiovi decided to perform an elaborate dance routine early in the planning.
Brown said, “When Jake proposed, I was like, ‘We have to learn a dance routine. We’ll remember it forever, and when the song comes on when we’re 80, we’ll remember it. It’s going to be so special.’ “
She shot down a “Dirty Dancing” dance routine. “I was like ‘Oh my God, if you get that lift wrong,’ ” Brown said. “It was too much.”
So the couple ended up taking dance lessons to learn an extensive routine from Brown’s favorite movie, “Grease 2.”
“It was probably like a six-minute dance,” she said of the song medley, which included “Grease” songs. “People were like, ‘Oh my God, you can tell she’s an actor.’ It was so much fun.”
Sure enough, when Bongiovi heard a “Grease” song recently at a bar, he immediately went into the routine, Brown said.
Details of the wedding are scarce, even after the couple revealed details and photos in coordinated October 2024 Instagram posts. Brown shared pictures of herself wearing a custom Galia Lahav gown with a cathedral veil during and after the exchange of vows. In the last image, she’s seen blowing bubblegum in a strapless satin minidress and a bow tie on the dance floor.
Matthew Modine, Brown’s onscreen dad in “Stranger Things,” is also seen officiating the ceremony.
The intimate event was held at Villa Cetinale Roman, a baroque-style villa in Tuscany, Italy, according to wedding photographer Sandra von Riekhoff’s Instagram post.
The fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” is being released in three parts, on Nov. 26, Dec. 25 and a finale episode on Dec. 31.Â
