Dertour Group, the parent company of DER Business Travel, is consolidating its travel management brands in Switzerland and in 2026 intends to “phase out” Kuoni Business Travel.

This decision follows Dertour’s September acquisition of Swiss travel provider Hotelplan Group, which added two TMC brands to its portfolio: Finass Reisen, specialising in corporate travel and events, and bta first travel, which serves the SME sector.

A Dertour spokesperson told BTN Europe that Kuoni Business Travel – which has offices in Zurich, Geneva, Lugano and Uzwil – will be integrated with bta first travel. The new organisational structure is expected to come into effect in January 2026.

The spokesperson also confirmed there are no planned job cuts due to the merger, and clients “will continue to benefit from our expertise in business travel – united under the joint brand bta first travel”.

“Kuoni Business Travel and bta first travel have always shared a strong focus on customer service, tailor-made solutions and local presence,” said bta first travel CEO Roland Birchmeier in a statement.

“With our combined expertise, we will be able to respond even more specifically to the individual requirements of our business customers in future, thus offering them additional added value.”

Finass Reisen is not part of the consolidation effort and will retain its independent brand.
