Earlier this year, Samsung introduced an incredibly useful Samsung Notes feature. It is called Maths Solver, and it automatically solves mathematical equations in your notes. However, back then, it was limited to tablets. Later, it was also released for Galaxy phones with an S Pen and Galaxy Z Fold phones. More Galaxy phones could get it with the One UI 8.5 update.
All Galaxy phones could get Maths Solver in Samsung Notes with One UI 8.5
We checked if Maths Solver was available on the Galaxy phones we have. Our Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S25 Edge running One UI 8.0 don’t have the feature. However, it is available on our Galaxy S23 Ultra running One UI 8.0, our Galaxy S25 Ultra running the leaked internal build of One UI 8.5, and our Galaxy Z Fold 7 running the stable version of One UI 8.0.
Galaxy S23 (One UI 8.0 Stable): Unavailable
Galaxy S23 Ultra (One UI 8.0 Stable): Available
Galaxy S25 Edge (One UI 8.0 Stable): Unavailable
Galaxy S25 Ultra (One UI 8.5 Beta): Available
Galaxy Z Fold 7 (One UI 8.0 Stable): Available
Samsung didn’t announce the arrival of Maths Solver on Galaxy phones with S Pen and Galaxy Z Fold devices, but it appears to be working.

We installed the APK file of Samsung Notes (version 4.4.37.13) from the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware on our Galaxy S23. After installing it, we could see and use the Maths Solver feature, something the device didn’t have with the most recent version of Samsung Notes (version 4.4.30.91) available on the Galaxy Store and the Play Store.

This makes us believe that Maths Solver will come with Samsung Notes on almost all Galaxy Phones with the One UI 8.5 update sometime next year.
