After her Golden Globes nomination, Rhea Seehorn shared her hopes for the future of Pluribus and said she would love the show to run for as many as 10 seasons. She also confirmed that the writers are already working on Season 2, but added that she does not yet know what will happen in the story, especially after the shocking finale.

Since Season 2 is still being written, filming will likely begin next year. Due to the show’s large scale and heavy post-production work, Pluribus Season 2 release date can be expected in late 2027 or early 2028. Season 1 followed a similar long timeline and was also affected by the 2023 industry strikes. With a reported budget of $15 million per episode, the sci-fi series is a massive project. “I know they are in the writers’ room right now, writing season two. I don’t know a thing about it, not one tiny detail,” she was quoted as saying by Variety.
Meanwhile, creator Vince Gilligan has told Deadline that he currently imagines the show lasting around three seasons, though he is open to letting the story decide its length.
The filming of Pluribus season 2 will likely begun around spring 2026 (March) following season 1’s production timeline from February to September/December 2024. Main cast like Rhea Seehorn (Carol), Carlos-Manuel Vesga (Manousos), and Karolina Wydra (Zosia) expected to return.
