Spain’s government and central bank raised their economic-growth forecasts for 2025, cementing the country’s status as the region’s top major performer after a bumper second quarter.
Gross domestic product will rise by 2.7% this year — up from 2.6% before, Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo said Tuesday in Madrid. The Bank of Spain predicts expansion of 2.6% — up from 2.4% seen in June and above the 20-nation euro area’s 1.2%.
