These 5 N.J. employers are among the ‘Best Workplaces in Healthcare’ for 2025

Five New Jersey companies were named among the “Best Workplaces in Health Care” for 2025.

Every year, Fortune partners with the people analytics firm Great Place To Work to produce the list, which is driven by employee feedback.

This year’s rankings are based on nearly 228,000 survey responses from employees at eligible companies in the health care industry.

Companies with 10 to 999 people are considered for the small and medium category, while companies with 1,000 employees or more are considered for the large category.

Here are the New Jersey companies that placed in the large category and their rankings:

4. Hackensack Meridian Health — The largest not-for-profit health care organization in New Jersey, Hackensack Meridian Health has 18 hospitals throughout the state and more than 35,000 employees. According to Fortune, 86% of employees at Hackensack Meridian Health say it’s a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.

6. Atlantic Health System — This health care organization includes Morristown, Newton, Overlook, Chilton and Hackettstown Medical Centers. The company is powered by 24,000 team members and 7,779 affiliated physicians. Ninety percent of employees say it’s a great place to work, according to Fortune.

36. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey — Horizon is New Jersey’s oldest and largest insurer, with over 5,000 employees serving more than 3.8 million members. In survey responses, 85% of employees say it’s a great place to work and 87% say they feel a sense of pride in what they accomplish.

Here are the New Jersey companies that placed in the medium and small category and their rankings:

15. Alumni Staffing — Established in 2016, Alumni Staffing partners with health care facilities to fill job openings with qualified candidates. Headquartered in Bridgewater Township, the small company has fewer than 50 employees, 100% of whom say it’s a great place to work, according to survey results.

49. Health Monitor Network — Based in Montvale, Health Monitor Network provides advertising and targeted marketing services for the pharmaceutical industry. The medium-sized company has 178 U.S.-based employees. According to Fortune, 93% of employees say it is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
