Meteorological Service Director Dr. Amir Givati addressed the winter weather and the rain system expected in coming days, saying a “strictly winter Saturday” is anticipated. He detailed that on Saturday, intermittent rain is expected from the north to the northern Negev, including the possibility of local flooding in the southern coastal area and Gaza envelope region. From afternoon to evening hours, flooding may also occur in the Dead Sea area and northern Negev. In addition to rain, strong winds with gusts of 50-60 km/h are expected. On Sunday, rain will weaken and decrease, but during the night will again intensify from the north to the northern Negev and fall intermittently until evening.
