Police are preparing for the winter weather that will hit the country in the coming days and have announced expected road closures in the south – from Ashdod to the Dead Sea. Police are preparing for urban flooding, flash floods and flooding in most streams in the Negev and Arava, and locally also in the southern Dead Sea area. Flash floods are expected along southern roads, including: Highway 234 (Tze’elim Bridge), Highway 232 (Shikma Stream), Highway 40 (Tzihor Stream) and Highway 90 – from Ein Gedi to the southern Dead Sea. Therefore, proactive road closures in the south may occur according to developments.
