Inflation in Bangladesh increased to 8.49% in December 2025, up from 8.29% in November, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
In December 2024, the inflation rate stood at 10.89%.
According to the data released by the BBS today (5 January), both food and non-food inflation increased in December 2025.Â

Food inflation rose to 7.71%, while non-food inflation climbed to 9.13%, compared to 7.36% and 9.08% respectively in November 2025.
In December 2024, food and non-food inflation rates were 12.92% and 9.26% respectively.
