OPPO has launched the OPPO Watch S globally, expanding its smartwatch lineup with a focus on display performance, health monitoring, and long battery life.

The OPPO Watch S features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a 464 × 464 resolution and a pixel density of 317ppi. The screen supports up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, improving visibility outdoors. The watch uses a stainless steel body that measures 8.9mm thick and weighs 35 grams without the strap.

The retail package includes the smartwatch with a strap, an integrated charging cable, a user guide, and safety documentation. The OPPO Watch S is available in Phantom Black and Silver Gleam color options.

Software and Performance

The smartwatch runs ColorOS Watch 7.1 and is powered by the BES2800BP chipset, paired with 4GB of EMMC storage. OPPO offers multiple watch faces designed for different use cases, allowing users to customize the interface based on daily activities.

Fitness and Sports Tracking

Fitness tracking on the OPPO Watch S includes support for more than 100 workout modes with customizable options. For runners, the watch provides guided training sessions, posture analysis, and lactate threshold monitoring. Selected sports modes also offer professional court analytics to deliver more detailed performance data.

Health Monitoring and Durability

Health tracking is handled through an 8-channel heart rate sensor, a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, and a wrist temperature sensor. The watch offers a 60-second wellness snapshot, sleep monitoring, stress tracking, and integrated mind-body assessments.

In terms of durability, the OPPO Watch S carries IP68 and 5ATM ratings for dust and water resistance. A splash touch feature helps maintain screen responsiveness when the display is wet.

Connectivity and Smart Features

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, dual phone pairing across platforms, on-wrist messaging, and access card support. The watch also features dual-band L1 and L5 positioning for improved location accuracy.

Additional features include remote camera control, short video playback controls, and the ability to manage certain phone functions directly from the watch.

Battery Life and Compatibility

The OPPO Watch S is equipped with a 339 mAh battery. OPPO claims up to 10 days of battery life under maximum conditions and around 7 days with typical usage.

The smartwatch supports Android devices running Android 9.0 or later and iPhones running iOS 14.0 or later.
