Bjarke Ingels Group has shared progress of construction at San Pellegrino’s ‘Factory of the Future’ In Italy. On completion, the scheme will include offices for staff, public spaces for the surrounding communities, and tourists.
The design of the factory sees a reinvention of elements of classic Italian architecture, such as the arcade, the viale, the piazza, and the portico. BIG’s approach seeks to encompass the aesthetic of the region and create a sense of timelessness. “The main element for S.Pellegrino is the complete immersion into nature…this is like a new and very contemporary addition to the Brembo Valley, that also feels somehow as if it has always been here,” Bjarke Ingels has previously said about the project.
