Losing track of your essentials – whether it’s the wallet at home or luggage at the airport – is never fun. AirTags offer an easy way to avoid situations like these by letting you monitor the whereabouts of your stuff right through your phone.
A single AirTag costs around $29 when purchased separately, but Amazon is letting you pick a pack of four for just $65 right now, down from $99. That breaks down to a little over $16 per AirTag, which is almost half off the usual price. This 34% discount, however, is a limited-time one. Considering Apple devices rarely go on sale, we’re not expecting this offer (and the stock) to stick around for long. If you’ve got some fun travel plans for 2026, grabbing an AirTag can save you the hassle of trying to keep an eye on all your important things at once.
Find Your Essentials Using Your Phone
AirTags are coin-shaped devices. These can be slid into your wallet, tossed into a backpack, or attached to keys using AirTag accessories like a holder. Once connected to your device, an AirTag lets you view the location/find your items using the Find My app. Getting started couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is pull the battery tab of the AirTag off and place it near an unlocked iPhone. Tap “Connect” on your phone, and follow the on-screen instructions to name the tag and connect it to your Apple ID. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes!
Once set, you will be able to find your stuff in multiple ways. You can ring the AirTag using your phone to spot nearby items. For instance, if you can’t remember where you put your wallet, and don’t have the time to look for it, just ring the tag to see where it’s hiding. You can also be guided right to the AirTag with Precision Finding that uses Ultra Wideband technology, but this feature is available on select iPhone models.
Items that are further away can be located using Apple’s Find My network. It’s a hub of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that can help spot items by detecting the tag’s Bluetooth signal and relaying its location to the iCloud to help you see it on a map in the Find My app. You can also put an item in Lost Mode to be automatically notified when it’s detected in the Find My network.
A single AirTag can be shared with up to five people. It’s great for keeping your friends or family in the loop, and you can even give location access to a third party (airline, restaurant staff) for quicker recovery. Apple has designed the tags to be IP67 water and dust-resistant, meaning extreme weather conditions won’t affect their functionality. Best of all, the replaceable battery lasts up to a year. That means you can go up to 12 months without worrying about running out of it.
All in all, if you’ve been looking to keep track of your devices in a convenient way, AirTags make it possible. These tiny gadgets slide into all your essentials – from wallets to key rings, luggage, or laptop bags – and let you monitor their location right through your phone. AirTags only work with iOS devices, but there are several similar options for Android users on the market, too.
