The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Saturday launched its 113th humanitarian convoy, “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza,” delivering urgent food, medical, and winter assistance to the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing role as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.
The convoy, now in its 113th day, carried more than 5,300 tons of humanitarian aid, including over 2,950 tons of food baskets and flour, approximately 1,010 tons of medicines, medical supplies, relief items, and personal care products, as well as around 1,375 tons of petroleum products.
In response to harsh winter conditions affecting the Gaza Strip, the ERC also dispatched essential winter relief supplies, including about 18,140 winter clothing items, 8,860 blankets, and 3,140 tents to shelter displaced and affected families.
The “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” initiative was launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, 2025, and has since delivered thousands of tons of humanitarian assistance, including food supplies, flour, infant formula, medical equipment, medicines, hygiene items, and fuel.
Since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a continuous presence at the border, coordinating and facilitating the flow of aid into Gaza. The Rafah crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side, with the organization sustaining full readiness across its logistical centers.
To date, the ERC- supported by 65,000 volunteers- has facilitated the entry of more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, underscoring Egypt’s continued commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza.
