Providence hospitals and clinics in Spokane and Stevens Counties restrict access to visitors starting Monday, Jan. 12. Here is what you need to know.

Providence Inland Northwest announced visitations will be temporarily restricted at hospitals and clinics in Spokane and Stevens Counties due to a recent increase in respiratory illnesses in the area. The visitor restrictions start Monday, Jan. 12.

The restrictions include limited visitation hours to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center with exceptions to Pediatric, NICU and Labor and Delivery units.

The health care provider says their patients may have up to two visitors at a time and visitors under 18 will not be allowed in certain areas, such as the Women’s Health Center and Labor and Delivery units.

The hospital system also recommends that all visitors wear a mask.
