Israeli security agencies have advised the political leadership not to intervene in the events unfolding in Iran, Israel’s Channel 13 reported.

The channel said the security agencies believe that any Israeli involvement in Iran’s internal situation would undermine the course of the protests there.

It added that Israel is closely monitoring every Iranian military move, including the mobilisation of security forces.

According to the channel, Israeli assessments indicate that Iran is unlikely to risk attacking Israel while facing a growing internal crisis.

Channel 13 also said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked his ministers to act with caution when making statements related to the Iran file, and to ensure that such remarks are cleared through his office.
