Maja the Chow Chowpuppy is a total charmer and resembles more of a bear cub than a little dog.

In the TikTok from @maja.the.chow, the floofy black puppy was being propped up in an upright sitting position to show off his lush coat and giant paws. Maja’s eyes were hidden by the adorable wrinkles of fur on his face, but you could see his sweet snout and cub-like ears that mirrored a baby bear.

“Um, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, sir? Why are you so cute?” Maya’s dad asked.

His assessment of the precious puppy is spot on. From his thick black fur to the sweet shape of his face, Maya looked more like a toddler bear than a puppy. Even his body shape gave off total bear vibes. Followers were charmed by the fluffy fur baby and noted the uncanny resemblance.

“A beautiful live teddy bear!!” one wrote.

“Like a little cuddly baby grizzly bear!” another commented.

“I think he’s just a real fluffy bear at this point. It’s too much. Too cute. Too fluffy,” someone remarked.

Chow Chow Breed Traces Back Over 2,000 Years

This breed has ancient origins, with roots going back over 2,000 years to northern China. Chow Chows were originally bred for various working tasks, like guarding temples, hunting, and pulling sleds. These dogs were so highly revered in China that they often served as canine companion to emperors.

Chow Chows have straight hind legs, which give them a unique and distinctive gait. They are often considered highly independent and somewhat aloof, yet they are totally devoted to their loved ones.
