Some of the finest figure skaters from Africa, Asia, North America and Oceania are set to battle it out in Beijing next week before the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 begin.

Stars from 17 different non-European countries will compete at the ISU Figure Skating Four Continents Championships 2026 from 22 January, with medals up for grabs in men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs and ice dance.

With Milano Cortina 2026 starting less than a fortnight after the conclusion of the event at Beijing’s National Indoor Stadium, some teams – including figure skating powerhouses Canada, Japan and the U.S. – are sending weakened squads to the People’s Republic of China.

But other nations are using the competition to fine-tune their athletes ahead of next month’s Olympic Winter Games.

Below, Olympics.com previews the Four Continents Championships 2026, including the big names to look out for and a full schedule of the competition.
