The IDF spokesperson has cleared for publication that four soldiers from the Dekel Battalion were killed by an explosive device in Rafah: Maj. Omri-Hai Ben Moshe (26) from Tzafriya, who served as a company commander in the Paratroopers Brigade; Lt. Ron Arieli (20) from Hadera, who served as a fighter in the Golani Brigade; Lt. Eitan Avner Ben Yitzhak (22) from Har Bracha, who served as a fighter in the Commando Brigade and Lt. Eran Shalem (23) from Ramat Yohanan, who served as a fighter in the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, fell in the southern Gaza Strip.
