Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore announced their split back in 2011, putting an end to their age-gap romance and six-year marriage.
But now, the actor, 47, has made a rare comment on his ex-wife, 63, with some of their latest projects – The Beauty and The Substance, respectively – having rather similar themes.
During an interview with ET, Kutcher said he’s “so proud of” Moore.

“I mean, one, Demi’s performance in The Substance, obviously she got extraordinary accolades, I’m so proud of her, she killed it,” he said.
Moore recently won a Golden Globe in 2025 for her work in the horror film, which centres on a woman ageing in LA and taking a shot to become younger.
Kutcher said of his upcoming series The Beauty, “I think the bigger context, though, is we’re in a society where cosmetic enhancements is becoming increasingly predominant and accepted.”

“It’s a weird thing, like over the past two decades, you just kind of watch the rise of that taking place.”
The Beauty, which also stars Bella Hadid, is a sci-fi drama about a beauty shot that changes one’s appearance, but with severe side effects.
Hadid appears to play a character who experiences the unwanted side effects.

During her acceptance speech at the 2025 Golden Globes for her The Substance win, Moore had some empowering words for viewers.
The actress reminded fans to “know the value of your worth” by “putting down the measuring stick,” to cheers from the audience.
The former couple started dating in 2003 and married in 2005, but announced their split in 2011 before divorcing.
