The 50 MPix ultra-wide angle is solid on both, with marginally better edge sharpness on the successor, while the selfie setup (50 MPix plus 3D depth sensor) on the Magic8 Pro separates and stabilizes slightly more precisely in portraits and 4K/60 FPS videos.
