While the Allianz Arena is one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, one thing it has not been known for is hosting concerts. That is set to change this year, though.
The Allianz Arena’s website announced that K-Pop giants BTS will be performing in the stadium in July as part of their 2026 World Tour, which starts in April in Goyang, South Korea. The stadium will host two concerts on the 11th and the 12th. They will be performing on a 360° round stage, which goes to show the sheer size of the events.
BTS are not the only performers to hit the Allianz Arena this summer, though. The Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, The Weeknd, and Helene Fischer will all visit the Arena in June before BTS does.
But Maverick you crazed cuckoo for Korean pop, I hear you say, why the sudden influx in concerts? Well, it just so happens that the Olympiastadion München, which is the normal go-to venue for big concerts, is undergoing renovations until next year. The only other massive venue in the city is the Allianz Arena, hence the relocations.
Now, if only the Arena could host BLACKPINK and/or Girl’s Generation, it would be the biggest and best crossover since Avengers: Endgame…a guy can dream, right?
