Millie Bobby Brown is kicking off the new year with a new look.
On Saturday, Jan. 17, the actress, 21, debuted her shortest bob yet at the 2026 Joy Awards in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Brown ditched her previous long, red locks in favor of a chin-grazing brunette style as she accepted the award for Personality of the Year.
Per its website, the annual award ceremony “is a celebration of joy and entertainment,” and “a spotlight on music stars and legends, cinema icons, accomplished athletes, and other inspiring figures who are making a positive impact on people’s lives.”
For the event, the Stranger Things star wore a sparkling Tamara Ralph Haute Couture look from the designer’s most recent Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 collection. The silver crystal mesh gown is embellished with mother of pearl sequin flowers and crystal xillions.
Brown accessorized with dazzling drop earrings and sported a red lip for a pop of color.

The Florence by Mills founder is known for switching up her hair. While she’s strongly associated with her Stranger Things character Eleven’s signature buzzcut, Brown keeps things interesting off-screen as well.
The star had most recently been sporting long, copper-tinged locks, which she wore for a December 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In February 2025, Brown showed off her recently dyed platinum blonde locks in a carousel of photos on Instagram.
In one snap, the camera focused on Brown’s face-framing layers as she looked away from the lens while wearing a black bodycon dress.
She added a Y2K-style edit to the image, including the word “HOT” in pink lettering, as well as a “System error !” message to her left.
Earlier that year, she kept fans guessing with frequent hair changes.
On March 29, the Elona Holmes actress posted a series of photos on Instagram of herself in a bikini at the beach with a can of her Florence by Mills coffee drink in hand. Brown captioned the snaps, “sunset swims.”
Some fans in the comments seemed a little confused about her hair. In the new images, the actress sports longer brown hair that’s slicked back and appears wet as if she had just enjoyed a swim. However, only days ago, Brown revealed a bleached blonde bob in another Instagram post.

“Wait, I thought you were blonde???” one person wrote in response to Brown’s March 29 post.
Earlier that week, Brown shared an Instagram Reel of herself in a bathroom, debuting what was seemingly a new blonde bob haircut while promoting her Florence by Mills Soft Girl Sheer Vanilla Hair and Body Mist. The caption read, “Mill’s fave trick is to spray soft girl hair & body mist on wet hair for extra long-lasting scent!”
