Sky spectacular on Monday night.

Last night’s Northern Lights over Cork were a photographer’s dream.

A powerful solar storm was sparked following a strong solar flare on Sunday.

Aurora displays happen when charged particles collide with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere. 

The red and green spectacle was shared widely on social media.
