Israel has demolished buildings inside the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem, and raised the Israeli flag over the premises.

UNRWA, as mandated by the UN General Assembly, provides essential services to millions of Palestinian refugees ethnically cleansed by Israel since the 1948 Nakba. This is the latest among years of attacks on the UN agency to intensify the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and undermine the UN-stipulated right of Palestinian refugees to return home and receive reparations.

Resist the #MightMakesRight order.

The Israeli government is actively working to destroy UNRWA, one of dozens of human rights and aid organizations recently banned by Israel’s genocidal regime from entering the occupied Palestinian territory.

Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, Israel has murdered at least 376 UN staff members in Gaza—the highest number of UN personnel killed in any conflict since the creation of the UN.

Israel’s military has repeatedly and deliberately attacked UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon a dozen times. It has destroyed UN infrastructure across the region, particularly in Gaza, including schoolswarehouses and refugee camps.

Israel’s former UN ambassador shredded the UN Charter from the General Assembly podium, while calling for the UN Headquarters to be “wiped off the face of the Earth.” Israel has actively obstructed the work of the UN officials to investigate its crimes across historic Palestine by denying them entry, not just in the course of this genocide but for decades. It has also declared the UN Secretary General “persona non grata.”

Apartheid Israel must be kicked out of the UN, as apartheid South Africa was.

Write, email or tag your elected officials pressuring them to push for expelling Israel from the UN. Organise mass demonstrations and creative peaceful actions in front of your parliaments and government buildings to demand the above.

Escalate BDS pressure now

Israel’s genocide has not stopped and neither will we.
