Jenny Slate Texts/Deposition Statements
In a text message, dated June 4, 2023, Jenny allegedly wrote: “This has really been a disturbing shoot, and I’m one of many who feel this way, and Blake and I have both complained directly to Ange [production exec Andrea Giannetti] at Sony (and they agree w us btw). Justin is truly a false ally and I’m unwilling to do anything that promotes the image that he’s crafting as a ‘male feminist’ … like … honestly I have no words to describe what a fraud he is.”
She added, “I honestly have never ever encountered anything like this dude. He’s the biggest clown and the most intense narcissist.”
In a deposition, Jenny apparently said, “Justin and Jamey freak me out.”
In an alleged text from Jenny to Blake, Jenny allegedly wrote on October 13, 2023, “Sometimes I get so angry at myself for ignoring signs in Justin that I should have taken seriously in terms of ‘wait…is this person ACTUALLY in line w a feminist perspective?’ The plus side is that I will ever [sic] make again this mistake again. I will say thought, I wanted to work with YOU, and that was definitely the right instinct! But yeah. Wow. What a one of a kind sh-tshow.”
Later in a deposition, Jenny is quoted as saying, “Justin and [producer Jamey Heath] freak me out.” Jenny also reportedly expressed concern with the amount of “crap” Blake took during the shoot from Justin and Jamey, adding they told “weird lies.”
By the way, Jenny quickly supported Blake back in 2024 when she brought all of these allegations to light.
