Luke Mudgway of Li Ning Star, China, sealed overall victory at the Pune Grand Tour 2026 on Friday, guiding his team to both individual and team honours as the four-stage race concluded at the Pune Pride Loop.

Mudgway won the final stage and finished the tour with a cumulative time of 9 hours 33 minutes 4 seconds, retaining the Yellow Jersey from the opening day to emerge as the race’s overall champion. The New Zealander also claimed the Green Jersey as the highest points scorer of the event.

The fourth and final stage, a 95km circuit through the heart of Pune, was won by Mudgway’s teammate Alexey Shnayrko, who clocked 1:56:54. Cameron Nicholas Scott finished second, while Dylan Hopkins of Roubaix Insurance WinSpeed placed third.

The peloton passed several of Pune’s historic landmarks, including routes near Shaniwar Wada, to complete a total race distance of 437 kilometres over four stages.

Li Ning Star topped the overall team classification with a combined time of 28 hours 41 minutes 19 seconds. Burgos Burpellet BH (Spain) finished second, followed by Terengganu Cycling Team (Malaysia) in third.

“I have a really good team,” the 29-year-old Mudgway said. “They looked after me from start to finish.

“As you saw over the last two days, we had two other riders win. So, we’ve won with three different riders and, yeah, a lot of hard work, a lot of teamwork, a lot of training, a lot of hours, everything to get the win today. So, yeah, this one’s for my team.”

On the road, Stage 4 honours went to Aliaksei Shnayrko of Li Ning Star, who powered to victory on the city circuit. His teammate Cameron Nicholas Scott finished second, with Dylan Hopkins of Roojai Insurance WinSpeed taking third.

With the general classification effectively decided after Stage 3, the result had little impact on the overall standings but underlined Li Ning Star’s dominance and provided a celebratory close to the race.

In the secondary classifications, Clement Alleno of Burgos Burpellet BH claimed the Polka Dot jersey as King of the Mountains after collecting 15 points, ahead of Stefan Benetton of EuroCyclingTrips-CCN (Guam) and Cristian Railaenu of Li Ning Star.

Jambaljamts Sainbayar of Burgos Burpellet BH retained the Orange Jersey as best Asian rider, while Dutchman Tijssen Viego of Wielerploeg Groot Amsterdam again claimed the White Jersey as best young rider.

India’s Harshveer Singh Sekhon of the Indian National Team finished the race as the leading domestic rider, earning the Blue Jersey.

The Pune Grand Tour 2026 was India’s first UCI-classified 2.2 multi-stage men’s cycling road race. It featured 164 riders from 28 teams representing 35 countries.

Owing to its UCI classification, the Pune Grand Tour offered cyclists the opportunity to earn valuable ranking points that count toward qualification for the LA 2028 Olympics.
